Quality Chemicals S.L was created in 1997 as a spin-off of the German multinational company.
New facilities are built in Esparreguera. This new site includes production, warehouse, R&D lab, quality control lab and offices.
Quality Chemicals acquires Purity Chemicals S.L. in the industrial area of Venta de Baños, Palencia, a company which synthesises active ingredients for the veterinary and pharmaceutical industries.
After several years of major refurbishment and upgrading of the Venta de Baños facilities to produce inorganic salts, we now have a production facility which can make excipients for the pharmaceutical, veterinary and food industries following GMP guidelines.
In 2015 AEMPS (Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices) authorised production of APIs at Purity Chemicals.
The first Certificate of Suitability for the European Pharmacopoeia was earned for sodium fluoride as an API.
